| Dieses Spiel stellt
die Ära der skandinavischen Völker des 9. und 10.
Jahrhunderts in 7 Szenarien nach. VIKINGS ist vollständig
kompatibel mit den anderen Spielen der mittelalterlichen
Serie (Cry Havoc, Siege, Samouraï und Croisades) sowie mit
denen der Dragon Noir-Serie und entwickelt insbesondere die
Bewegung und den Kampf auf See und beschreibt mit einem
atemberaubenden Realismus die Taktiken der Küstenüberfälle. Box

Die Spielpläne |
| Die Originalversion enthielt nur 2 Karten. In der französischen Version wurden diese durch 4 Karten in voller Größe (2 Seekarten und 2 Küstenkarten) sowie 2 Kreuzungskarten ersetzt, um weitere taktische Situationen hinzuzufügen (Insel, Flussufer usw.).
Später wurden 4 zusätzliche Karten separat veröffentlicht (The Open Field, The Coast 1&2, The Ford). |

Die Einheiten |

| Zu den
Spielfiguren gehören Grafen, Jarls, Huscarls, Berserker und
Bauern. Keine zwei Figuren sind gleich, jede hat ihren
eigenen Namen, ihr eigenes Kostüm und ihre eigenen
Kampfwerte, wodurch die Epoche originalgetreu zum Leben
erweckt wird. Die Markierungen waren einzigartig in der
französischen Version. Hinweis: Anders als im Originalspiel
haben diese Spielsteine das CROISADES-Format übernommen
(höhere Geschwindigkeit für Pferde, Verteidigungspanzerung
und Richtungspfeil für Pferde). |
